Trustees
The current Temple land was leased in 1987 and it has to renew every 30 years. The last renewal was in 2017. According to BBT constitution (2005) clause 16, the following trustees for the Burmese Buddhist Temple (BBT) to be association partners to administer immovable temple property are elected legitimately.
Ms. Lim Ain Ain
– is a very dedicated member and devotee of the Burmese Buddhist Temple since its relocation in Tai Gin Road in 1988. In spite of her busy work schedule and family commitment, she was fully committed to helping the Temple realize its goal and readily accepted a responsible and crucial role in the management, which saw through the swift completion of the new temple building, reputedly to be the most magnificent Burmese Buddhist Temple outside Myanmar. Her unwavering faith and valuable contribution to the Temple continue to this day.
Ms. Sabrina Tun
– is the great-granddaughter of U Kyaw Gaung, founder of the Burmese Buddhist Temple, Singapore. Without the selfless efforts of U Kyaw Gaung, the temple would not have existed today in Singapore. As a great-granddaughter and Trustee of the Temple at Kinta Road before its acquisition by the Government, Ms. Sabrina had sacrificed much of her time and money all those years to assist her family in their perseverance to maintain the Temple and conserve its invaluable Buddha images that were subsequently relocated to the present premises.
Ms. Rosalind Hu Tay Lan Khin
